Monday Morning Inspiration - Faith in God!
Sometimes, I like to share my personal testimony. God loves for us to share of his goodness and mercy with others. I just completed reading the 40- Day Prayer Challenge by Mark Batterson and it has truly blessed and strengthend me. This is actually my second time reading it and each time I read it, I get more out of it. It has helped me increase my prayer life. You can not have faith without prayer. My husband got an amazing job offer in Texas and I did not want to come. However, I prayed and asked God for guidance and if this was the right thing for us to do? God spoke to me clearly and distinctively ( this is what he said; Trust me Tonya). So I got on board and agreed to move to Texas with my husband for this amazing job opportunity. We did not want to sale our home in Las Vegas as we wanted to keep it for an investment property and for our children. So, we were just going to lock up the house and come back home once a month to check on it. However, that was not God's plan. We rented our house out in Las Vegas, and the rent we are charging, more than covers our mortgage (But God). We rented to a guy who was our uber driver and is a family man who is also a christian, (but God). He had been looking for a place to live for several months and was not having any luck. So we rented it to him and his family who we met and they are a beautiful family. I found a beautiful home on-line in Texas that I absolutely love and the neighborhood is everything and more than what I expected it to be, (but God). The first night we arrived in town we went to dinner and was seated next to a couple who just happened to be from Chicago, my hometown and they are Chicago Bears fans such as myself (but God). They invited us to their church, and gave us places to go and things to do. We exchanged phone numbers and we actually attended their church today and truly enjoyed it. My faith told me to move to Texas with my husband and trust God. I can't wait to see what God has in store for Cedric and I as we begin this new journey in our lives.
