Monday Morning Inspiration - Thankfulness!
In my personal life, I have been dealing with so much grief as both of my parents died from cancer with in a year a part. First my father from esophagus cancer, on April 23, 2020. Then my mother from ovarian cancer on October 22, 2021. I was angry with God, wondering why me God? I was feeling sorry for myself as we often do. However, while reading my bible and spending time with God one morning, I read ~ I Thessalonians 5:18
In every thing give thanks for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. I then thought about how blessed I was to have had my parents for as long as I did. My dad was 73 and my mom was 71. Also, I was with both my parents when they took their last breath. So, I am so thankful and grateful that my parents did not die alone and that they both died in the comfort of their own homes as they had requested, with me right by their side, holding their hand. I find strength in this experience. I am also thankful to God that I have no regrets, I honored my parents while they yet lived and I am so thankful for all the loved we shared!
